પ્રેમ

પ્રેમ એટલે...
પ્રેમ એટલે કે તારા ગાલોના ખાડામાં

Hippocratic Oath

The Hippocratic Oath is an oath historically taken by doctors swearing to practice medicine ethically. It is widely believed to have been written by Hippocrates, the father of western medicine, in Ionic Greek (late 5th century BC), or by one of his students, and is usually included in the Hippocratic Corpus.

"I swear by Apollo, the healer, Asclepius, Hygieia, and Panacea, and I take to witness all the gods, all the goddesses, to keep according to my ability and my judgment, the following Oath and agreement:
To consider dear to me, as my parents, him who taught me this art; to live in common with him and, if necessary, to share my goods with him; To look upon his children as my own brothers, to teach them this art.
I will prescribe regimens for the good of my patients according to my ability and my judgment and never do harm to anyone.
I will not give a lethal drug to anyone if I am asked, nor will I advise such a plan; and similarly I will not give a woman a pessary to cause an abortion.
But I will preserve the purity of my life and my arts.
I will not cut for stone, even for patients in whom the disease is manifest; I will leave this operation to be performed by practitioners, specialists in this art.
In every house where I come I will enter only for the good of my patients, keeping myself far from all intentional ill-doing and all seduction and especially from the pleasures of love with women or with men, be they free or slaves.
All that may come to my knowledge in the exercise of my profession or in daily commerce with men, which ought not to be spread abroad, I will keep secret and will never reveal.
If I keep this oath faithfully, may I enjoy my life and practice my art, respected by all men and in all times; but if I swerve from it or violate it, may the reverse be my lot."

iPad

Touch screen is the new definition for every mobile device available in market. The initiator of this era, Apple has come with their most advance technology in tablet PCs with name iPad. iPhone made amazing success in the world but only thing which was missing from iPhone was not having better resolution. iPad comes not only with bigger size but it’s also opportunity for advanced application development platform. Apple as always controls its legacy in the iPad by using same operating system as in iPhone.
Major use of iPad will be reading newspapers and watching movies, but there are very interesting applications available in market that can really make difference if it can be accessed by mobile devices. iPad will be a better place for browsing web, managing calendar, finding places on maps, Books and most popular iPod. The product is really impressive with its ultra thin design with 1024-by-768 pixel resolution including multi touch screen.
iPad will cover world wide support as apple will be selling this device in all major languages same as iPhone. It supports wireless and 3G connectivity for internet. The applications I personally been waiting for were Photoshop and notepad (for drawing and writing). End user can have all their books, notes, project report and material in single device. Apple is predicting to sale iPad around 8mil before year 2012.

Abraham Lincoln: Letter to Mrs. Bixby, 1864

This letter became very well known in 1998 after its use in the film Saving Private Ryan.

Executive Mansion, Washington, November 21, 1864.

Mrs. Bixby, Boston, Massachusetts:

Dear Madam: I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant-General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle. I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours very sincerely and respectfully,

Abraham Lincoln.
